Before being bottled at cask strength this whisky was allowed a finishing period in tiny specially-coopered casks that previously contained Pedro Ximnez sherry. It"s got peat and sherry notes by the bucket-load. It"s by no means a subtle expression. It"s ace. Only 438 bottles were produced.Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of MaltNose:Old leather raisin tangy sea salt notes and iodine.Palate:Bright notes of cinnamon and clove with dried fruit and stem ginger sticking around. Continued coastal richness.Finish:A long finish of smoke and sherry.
